Improving IG engagement – benchmarks, research and what works

So, now that you’ve got your IG page up and running, it’s time to get started on actually getting your content out there and working to maximise potential engagement! Luckily for you, were here to help you get started on some content that will be likely to get the desired results you’re looking for to grow your page.

It’s all about getting those organic likes, shares, and comments to help boost your engagement. Here’s how…
Create shareable and savable content:
When creating content, for every post you should be considering, what purpose does this solve for the consumer? Is the type of content you make educational or informative? Is it there to inspire or bring communities together? Or is it designed to showcase new products and services? Whatever content is necessary for the brand, you will also have to make sure it fills the need of the person seeing it. Some brands for example may benefit from creating infographic-style posts that are great for resharing. From your own experience on Instagram, we’re sure that you’ve seen how often people reshare things like graphics, quotes, and relatable memes, so keep that in mind for your brand’s content!
Host a giveaway:
This may not be beneficial for all businesses, but hosting a giveaway is a great way to boost engagement. Everyone loves a freebie right? If you make the giveaway look enticing this would be a great marketing tool. For this to work you will need to come up with a strategy that helps you to benefit. Use your IG stories to engage with your followers:
A great way to interact with your followers is to use IG stories to encourage your followers to interact with you.
